The Heartmen Quartet was established in October of 1993. Changes have taken place over the years but nothing has weakened our enthusiasm for sharing Christ with people through Southern Gospel music. No other style of music we find can tell of the love of God so powerfully. His love for us through His life, death and resurrection is the underlying theme within the music and we are called to share His salvation with people across our venue area, the Southeastern United States.
The quartet is based out of Columbus, Mississippi. The singing members of the Heartmen are Brian Cook-tenor, Brad Shackelford-lead, Johnny Lesley-baritone, and Marcus Honnoll-bass. Our manager is Rodney Perrigin. This organization allows us to concentrate on our music; rehearsing, learning new material, and performing our jobs within the quartet; while Rodney focuses on bookings, making sure our travel plans are sufficient to be in the right location at the right time, maintaining the bus, overseeing table sales, getting out promotional packages, and all the hundreds of other business items so important to a quartet.
